"Cosy Inn with excellent staff teamwork"

We stayed two nights in a group of six. The rooms were clean and there are dog friendly ones set aside to book specifically. After unpacking, the bar was welcoming with good seating and a lot fire. The restaurant food was good and reasonably priced. Again, watch reserving, as things get busy, and there are few dog friendly spots, but the staff tried really hard to accommodate what you needed. An excellent breakfast choice was available next day in the room rate and was well served by the ladies on duty.

"Comfortable, central and welcoming"

We enjoyed a great overnight stay here. The room was clean and comfy, well equipped and minibar sensibly priced. The staff were helpful and friendly. The pub itself is lovely and clearly a lively and popular attraction on a Saturday night. There was a great choice for breakfast from traditional to more modern vegetarian options. I would definitely stay here again.

"Family Visit"

Came here with the Family as a little catch up and to grab some lunch. I was surprised when we walked in, and i saw how nice it was inside. I was expecting it to be the same old pub like anywhere else round the country, but boy was i surprised. We were seated near the pizza oven, which obviously made me get a pizza! The menu is different, but VERY nice! For starter we had haloumi fingers which were LOVELY! And for the main i had the pizza, which was cooked to perfection. Overall a very good place.

"Food with a bang"

After a night watching the fireworks we decided to head over to the Kings Arms for a drink and possibly food if a table was available (we'd been before and the food was great). We were delighted to have been immediately offered a seat in the restaurant. Service was brilliant, food was excellent and the bill was surprisingly reasonable! They now have some fantastic and imaginative vegan options too which is a big plus point.
