Reasons to Visit The Kings Arms

Stay With Us

At the Kings Arms we have a range of rooms to choose from.  Our executive rooms are packed with character and have plenty of space to chill out and unwind whilst away from home.

We also have a range of budget rooms. These are situated at the back of the pub and are slightly smaller (we like to think cosy) and they are perfect if you are looking to simply rest your head and just need somewhere to crash after a busy day out.

All rooms include tea and coffee facilities, a hairdryer, iron and ironing board.

Located in the market town of Berkhamsted, there’s lots to discover on the doorstep of The Kings Arms. Running through the town you’ll find the Grand Union Canal, perfect for an evening stroll before dinner. Also set in the heart of the Chiltern Hills, you can explore miles of footpaths spread across 5000 acres of Ashridge Woods, which looks particularly spectacular in the spring when carpeted in Bluebells.

Step back in time and visit the ruins of Berkhamsted Castle, famed for being the location where the Anglo-Saxons surrendered in 1066 to William the Conqueror. Uncover your magical side with a trip to the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio tour which is just a 20-minute drive away. Alternatively, take a day trip to the capital, Berkhamsted station is just a 5-minute walk away, with direct trains to London taking just 40 minutes.
