Our cottage pie has raised £1213.50 for Help for Heroes
17.Apr.2012
Our customers have helped us raise £1213.50 for commendable charity Help for Heroes, simply by tucking into our delicious cottage pie. Since our Spring menu launch last year, our signature dish, the 'Help for Heroes' cottage pie, has donated 50p for every dish sold to the worthy cause, building to a substantial sum over the past year.
General Manager of the Kings Arms Liz Blundell handed over a giant cheque to Help for Heroes county volunteer Heather Waterfield, who was delighted to receive the donation on behalf of the charity.
In just a year of running this scheme, 2,427 cottage pie dishes have been sold, and the substantial sum raised will prove a valuable donation towards the eminent charity which supports wounded Servicement and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq.
